2. Objectives of the Event The primary goal of this event is to promote a healthy lifestyle. Additionally, the organization aims to achieve the following objectives:

  • Promotion of routes and places in the Świętokrzyskie Mountains.
  • Promotion of the Świętokrzyskie Mountains as a destination for cycling tourism.
  • Increasing ecological awareness and environmental care among participants.

3. Abbreviations and Definitions Used in This Regulation:

Website: Unless defined otherwise, refers to www.babajagamtb.com.
Athlete: Race participant.
Sector: A separate starting point for competitors with a specific time.

4. Date and Venue:

  • Date: From May 1, 2024, to May 4, 2024.
  • A 4-stage MTB race held at the Telegraf lift in Kielce, municipalities of Daleszyce, Nowiny, and Nowa Słupia.
  • The exact start location, race office, and parking spaces will be provided on the website.
  • GPX files for individual stages will be available on the website before the race.
  • Start times will be mentioned on the website.
  • The race will be included in the regional ŚRZkol event calendar.

5. Participation Conditions:

  • Participants must be at least 18 years old on the day of the race.
  • Registration is through the online platform on the website www.babajagamtb.com.
  • The participant, or someone on their behalf, pays the registration fee directly during the registration process, which can be done through a secure online environment.
  • Participation costs vary depending on the registration date, and a detailed price list will be available when registration begins on the website.
  • Registration is possible until April 29, 2024.
  • The participant can start on any bike powered by their muscles. The use of electrically assisted bikes in any form is not allowed.
  • The participant must use a hard helmet throughout the entire race.
  • The participant must adhere to the rules of fair play.
  • Littering in nature/outside designated buffet areas is prohibited.
  • The participant can request an invoice, which must be made within 7 days of payment via email to biuro@babajagamtb.com.
  • The competition will take place regardless of weather conditions, except in cases of force majeure. In such a situation, the organizer reserves the right not to refund the registration fee.
  • No refund will be given if the participant cannot start.
  • Cancellation fees: In case of withdrawal, disqualification, or withdrawal from the race, the organizer does not refund the registration fee or transfer it to another participant.
  • The participant can change the chosen distance until the bib number is collected. This can be done via the email address.
  • It is possible to transfer the bib number to a third party. This request can also be made via the email address biuro@babajagamtb.com.

6. Competition Rules:

  • The race consists of 4 stages, and individual stages are listed on the organization's website.
  • Only participants who complete the specified distance for all 4 stages are included in the overall standings. If the distance is changed during the race, the participant will appear in the stage results but not in the overall standings.
  • The overall standings are determined based on the sum of the participant's times from all 4 stages.
  • Individual stages have time limits, set separately for each route. The limits are the same for both distances.
  • Participants on the route beyond the time limit may not be classified and travel at their own risk on the route to the finish.
  • There will be checkpoints on the route; missing a checkpoint leads to disqualification.
  • The organizer, in consultation with on-site medical services, reserves the right to remove a participant from the competition for health reasons/medical reasons. In such a situation, the registration fee is not refunded.
  • The participant must exercise special caution on the route, considering the possibility of the presence of vehicles, forest roads, buildings, and the appearance of forest animals.
  • A participant exceeding the time limit receives a "DNF" and may not start the next stage. In such a situation, the registration fee is not refunded.
  • If applicable, the participant can use technical assistance from their team at any location along the route. However, this assistance must also include providing food and drink and repairing equipment. This assistance must not impede the competition of other participants. Everything is based on fair play.
  • Changing the bike during the stage is prohibited (the participant must complete the stage on the bike they started with).

7. Included in the Race Entry:

Included in the race entry are the following:

  • Bib number with electronic timing.
  • Medical support during the stages.
  • Marked routes.
  • Meal at the finish.
  • Access to/use of a depot where valuable items can be left for the duration of the race.
  • Recorded results of individual stages.
  • Access to replenishment along the route.
  • Access to bike service at the start and finish.
  • Possibility to wash/rinse the bike after the stage.

8. Routes/Distances:

  • There are 2 different distances:
    1. Easy, short distance, approximately 25 km per day.
    2. Difficult, long distance, approximately 50 km per day.
  • On the first day, participants from both distances ride the same route (a time trial) of about 15-20 km.
  • In the first stage, participants start individually based on their bib number.
  • The start and finish location for both distances are the same.
  • Start times for individual distances and any separate start corrals will be published on the website.
  • The number of start corrals depends on the number of participants. The fastest participants of the first day are placed in the first start corral, and subsequent start corrals are assigned in order of the overall standings.
  • Detailed information about the start corrals will be posted on the website during the event.

9. Individual Categories:

For both distances, participants are classified into the following categories:

In case there are fewer than 5 participants per category, the organization reserves the right to combine categories. This will be announced on the organization's website.

10. Awards:

  • After each stage, prizes are awarded for both distances.
  • In the overall standings:
    • Prizes are awarded to all individual age categories, places 1-3.

11. Sanctions: Depending on the participant's violation, the organizer may impose sanctions, including:

  • An oral and/or written warning.
  • Imposing a time penalty, thus adding time to the participant's result.
  • Disqualification of the participant from the race, in which case payments or other costs are not refunded.
  • Other penalties appropriate to the violation.

12. Participant's Obligations:

  • Participants are required to wear a hard helmet (failure to do so results in a starting ban).
  • Participants are required to ride a bike without electric drive; all electric bikes are prohibited (failure to do so results in a starting ban).
  • Littering is prohibited; items participants want to discard can be left in the refreshment zone, which will be appropriately marked from "Buffet Start" to "Buffet End."
  • Any form of physical or mental violence is prohibited around the start/finish and on the route.
  • Any dangerous behavior by a participant toward other participants and bystanders on the route, even accidentally, may be punished.
  • When riding on a road, even an unpaved one, the participant is obliged to adhere to traffic rules.
  • The final decision on the penalty is made by the organizer.

13. Preservation of the Natural Environment:

Participants are prohibited from leaving waste after participation, except at designated locations. A participant who does not adhere to this point may be excluded from the race. In such a situation, the registration fee is not refunded.

14. Participation at Own Risk:

  • Each participant takes part at their own responsibility and risk, considering that participating in the race involves physical exertion and a natural risk and the threat of accidents that may result in physical injury (including death), as well as damage and loss of financial nature.
  • Participants are expressly advised to have liability and accident insurance and, if relevant, (continuous) travel insurance.
  • The organizer is not responsible for items left or lost at the start and finish location and on the stage course.

15. Miscellaneous:

  • The organizer reserves the right to supplement the provisions of the regulations, and the participant is obliged to read its contents immediately before participating in the race. Changes are published directly on the website.
  • Any participant who decides not to participate in the race - both before and during the race - must report this fact immediately in person or by phone to the race office.

17. Anti-Doping Control: Anti-doping control takes place according to the regulations of PZKol and POLADA.
